Tilting rotary furnace
1. Function and advantages of tilting rotary melting furnace
The furnace is specifically used to alter cold aluminum dross to hot aluminum dross via external heat. Molten aluminum in aluminum dross can be collected through the rotation of furnace body, and thus the separation of aluminum dross and molten aluminum can be successfully achieved. Separated molten aluminum can be directly casted to crude ingots containing certain amount of aluminum dross, and it can also be made into finished aluminum ingots via further refining and collection by holding furnace. With the use of the equipment, aluminum content of aluminum dross could be decreased to 15~17% from 45~60%, reaching 65 to 80 percent aluminum recovery. On the other hand, the labor intensity could be significant decreased, and environmental pollution caused by disposing of aluminum dross can also be greatly improved owing to the effective control of dust production during manufacturing process.
2. Basic technical process flow
Cold aluminum dross → Forklift charging system → Tilting rotary furnace → Rotation and heating → Second charging → Aluminum dross heating agent (industrial salt)→ Quiescence → Discharging molten aluminum by tilting furnace body → Dumping aluminum dross → Reset equipment
The tilting rotary furnace adopts vibrating feeder to charge materials.
Vibrating feeder:
By adopting vibrating feeding mode, the feeder can go forward and backward in direct line in preset track. It can feed materials steadily and is convenient to use. The vibrating frequency is controlled by frequency converter, and the feeding speed is also adjustable. with the use of vibrating feeder, the striking degree of material block to furnace body can be decreased mostly.

Rotation part
External gnawing dowel pin gear are designed for transmission, with the gear being the driver and pin gear being driven. This kind of design is completely suited for tilting rotary furnace to work at low speed, or under poor condition of heavy load, much dust and poor lubrication. All pin teeth are dealt with quenching to achieve the required hardness.
Driven parts
The motor and speed reducer are installed on the gear. The linear speed of gear is adjusted by frequency converter to acquire the same rotational linear speed of pin gear, and thus the rotational speed of the rotary furnace can be accurately adjusted.
Tilting rotary furnace equipped with regenerative burner is among the most advanced technology in the world.
The burner is installed on the furnace door and can be moved with it. CT60x104Kcal automatic middle-speed burner is used for ignition and temperature controlling. The temperature of furnace chamber can be improved to presetting temperature rapidly.
The accessorial parts of combustion system such as draught fan, air pipe and gas component are installed on the tilting support beam of the furnace. These parts are connected with the burner via movable soft pipe so as to achieve the rotation of furnace door.
The tilting rotary furnace in the picture is manufactured for a Vietnam customer, who has built good business relationship with our company.

The tilting rotary furnace (TRF) is manufactured for a Vietnam customer, who has built good business relationship with our company.
This is the first mechanical test of TRF, and we invited the Vietnam customer to watch the entire process of testing with us. They are very satisfied with the test of TRF and think highly of our product quality and best service.

When the melting process was finished, the furnace door was slowly opened at vertical angles (0~90°), driven by hydraulic pressure. Then the furnace body was tilted and molten aluminum was flowing out in a steady speed.
